Etihad offers tennis fans the chance to win Wimbledon tickets at the Capitala World Tennis Championship

Award-winning airline continues its strong support of the Capitala World Tennis Championship with exciting competition on Day One of the tournament

Countdown begins with six of the world’s top players set to arrive in Abu Dhabi next week

Abu Dhabi, UAE : With just over a week to go until the highly anticipated second Capitala World Tennis Championship, Etihad Airways, a major sponsor of the event, has announced it will be giving away a trip to Wimbledon for one lucky winner and a friend on Day One of the event on 31st December 2009.

At the end of Day One, the winner of the Nikolay Davydenko vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga match will throw a signed white ball in to the audience - the lucky spectator who catches the ball will walk away with an Etihad-sponsored all-expenses-paid trip for two to Wimbledon, the prestigious Grand Slam tournament.

The Capitala World Tennis Championship event has attracted another star-studded line-up with world number one Roger Federer and Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Nikolay Davydenko, Robin Söderling and Stanislas Wawrinka completing a field similar to that of a Grand Slam.

The Village, open from 10:00am daily to ticket holders as well as the general public, will feature a speed serve area, Batak machine, player autograph signings, Diabetes Centre and a range of F&B offerings.
