Tennis Village set to wow Abu Dhabi during Capitala World Tennis Championship

Abu Dhabi, UAE : Organisers of the second Capitala World Tennis Championship today announced details of the Tennis Village, the fantastic entertainment offering at this year's event. The Village will be open daily from 10:00am and free to the general public as well as those lucky enough to have tickets to the Capitala World Tennis Championship from 31st December - 2nd January.

The Tennis Village will feature a host of exciting activities including a speed serve machine to test your tennis skills, Batak - the game designed to improve reaction and hand-eye co-ordination, an inflatable tennis court and face-painting for the kids, player autograph signings and a range of food and beverage outlets.

As part of the tournament's aim to promote the sport of tennis and benefits of a healthy lifestyle in the region, Tennis Village will include a Diabetes Centre, measuring BMI and conducting general health assessments, as well as a seminar on Health and Nutrition for local PE teachers, focusing on the importance of training and healthy eating.

Along with the activities at the Tennis Village, visitors can also access the practice courts for their chance to see some of the players warming up, or lend their support to the local tennis players who have been competing in the Capitala Community Cup to secure their place at exclusive tennis clinics held during the event.

The Capitala World Tennis Championship will be held from 31st December - 2nd January at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex, Zayed Sports City.

Featuring six of the world's top players - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Nikolay Davydenko, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Robin Söderling and Stanislas Wawrinka - the event is set to provide some of the most spectacular tennis the region has seen.
